The Bf 109 played an important part in pretty much all WWII operations. The prototype first flew in May 1935. The single-seat fighter featured a 1435 horsepower DB 605 engine. Production totaled some 35,000 units. Pieces are suitable for use with the Zvezda Art of Tactic expandable board game.
